WoW Tips For Introducing a Friend to the Game

What makes MMOs so unique is the ability to play with other real human beings. You can work together to achieve goals and defeat the enemy team in player versus player. That is why so many gamers love to get their friends involved. However, this can be a challenging experience so make sure you know the best WoW tips to help a newcomer enjoy the game. You don't want them giving up prematurely when there was something you could have done to make their attempt more positive. Beginning a new MMO is no small task, there is much to learn, and this is important to remember as you apply these WoW tips.
Questions are Inevitable
Your best bud has decided to try the game, and you are excited. You can't wait to run raids and battlegrounds with them. The problem is, you are level 80 and they are level 1. One of the best WoW tips you can apply here is to make sure you answer all questions. Sure, you already know the game and maybe you taught yourself. You might not want to be bothered with questions or requests from a friend just starting out. However, keep in mind you are the reason they have come to the game. It is your job to help them out, within reason.
How Much Help is too Much?
These WoW tips may sound like they are contradicting themselves, but they are actually not. While you want to assist your friend while they learn the game, make sure you are not holding their hand to the point of making them a helpless player. Answer questions, show them around and teach them the basics, but do not offer to power level them every time they play. On occasion, this might be good. You can help kill a difficult quest mob here and there. However, they should be learning how to best use their abilities, not how to stand by while you kill every thing for them.
Helpless and Alone
Even after your friend learns how to use their starter abilities and gets the hang of the basics, do not leave them helpless and alone. If they ask for opinions or advice on the most effective ability usage, share your knowledge. Yes, you may have a raid schedule to adhere to, but you should not make your friend feel isolated or left out. Even though they are not yet high enough to participate in all the things you can doesn't mean you should leave them high and dry. Other good WoW tips should include setting aside time to help your friend.
Get Down to their Level
This is one of the best WoW tips you will hear when introducing a friend to the game. Consider rolling a new character to level with your friend. This will acclimate them to working as a team or in a group and will prevent you from smothering them with assistance. These WoW tips can help you find the perfect balance of interaction to help a friend get into the game.

World of Warcraft Tactics to Get Through the Levels Fast!

World of Warcraft is by far one of the most challenging games around. Mastery requires plenty of strategy, time and patience to advance through the levels of the WoW universe. There are strategies that you can use to make it to the 80th level quickly, genuine time-saving tactics that will advance you quicker than you could without.
Though you may not want to join the Alliance versus the Horde, every World of Warcraft participant wants to quickly advance onto the 80th level quickly. Don't worry - these tips will help you do exactly that.
The first tactical tip is to really view down-time as a real-life foe. You really don't want your character just fiddling around twiddling his or her thumbs, hoping that manna or some health will come your way. This may be just a video game, but like in life - opportunity is there for those reaching out for it. Don't try running between graves, either - this is only more down-time. Time should be spent killing everything that's weaker than you, grinding away. Don't wait for the big opportunities - these smaller kills add up.
Another tactical tip is to multi-task every way you can think of it. As you continue in WOW, you'll notice that the quests are going to be more and more difficult, the levels increase in challenge. Don't do the common mistake of sticking to doing one thing at a time. Leveling up quickly by taking on as many quests as you can - some suggest to take on every quest in the vicinity and using QuestHelper to organize campaigns.
Regarding accepting quests: you have 2 options to level up here. You can take the route of grinding it out (killing as much as you can), or you can take on quests. Of course, these will overlap at times, as some quests are quests to grind away. Of the two tactics, taking on quests is the way to go to level up quickly. This will gain you experience, gold and tons of items. When you want to find a quest to take on, look for the yellow "!" over the characters, they're looking for heroes to complete their quest.
If you want to level up in World of Warcraft, then you want to choose quests that you can handle. Pick the quests that are geared for those 2-3 levels under you, rather than the more challenging quests. It may seem counter-intuitive since you'll gain less experience for each kill, but the fact is you'll get more done. These smaller victories really add up fast, you'd be amazed at the difference!

Shaman Leveling Build

Not sure where to start with your Shaman leveling build? Don't worry, this guide has you covered. We'll tell you what talents to take, when to take them, and why you're taking them. We'll also discuss proper Glyph choices for optimal leveling.
5/5 Ancestral Knowledge - More Intelligence means more mana and criticals, and later more attack power
2/2 Imp. Ghost Wolf - Use Ghost Wolf to move quickly to between mobs
3/5 Thundering Strikes - A bit more crit; just get enough to get to the next tier for now
1/1 Shamanistic Focus - Cheaper Shocks means less downtime
3/3 Elemental Weapons - Stronger Flametongue and later, Windfury? Awesome.
5/5 Thundering Strikes - Finish this up now, so you can start on...
4/5 Flurry - A decent improvement in damage, gets better as you get more crit
3/3 Mental Dexterity - Very awesome. Now Ancestral Knowledge is even better, too.
1/1 Spirit Weapons - A bit of survivability and needed for a latter talent
5/5 Flurry - Finish this up now to open the next tier
3/3 Weapon Mastery - Boring but a big damage boost
2/3 Unleashed Rage - Really awesome but the next tier has all sorts of goodies, so wait to finish it
1/1 Stormstrike - Finally a good instant melee attack
1/1 Duel Wield - Double Windfury + Stormstrike means you now do a TON more damage
3/3 Duel Wield Spec. - Counters some of the increased miss rate Duel Wield causes
2/2 Imp. Stormstrike - Now you don't have to worry about mana much at all; downtime is disappearing quickly now
1/1 Lava Lash - Another melee attack
3/3 Unleashed Rage - Can finally finish this up
1/3 Static Shock - Filler point, mostly; a bit more damage when using Lightning Shield
1/1 Shamanistic Rage - With this you should never experience downtime again
3/3 Mental Quickness - A big damage and healing buff
2/3 Static Shock - Another filler point
5/5 Maelstrom Weapon - A defining mechanic of Enhancement; use it for massive instant damage or instant heals
1/1 Feral Spirit - Use this cooldown frequently; it will destroy pretty much anything you use it on, while keeping you at full health
You're now ready to move into another tree to finish up your Shaman leveling build. Elemental is the best bet; you shouldn't need the extra healing from Resto between Maelstrom instant-heals and Feral Spirit.
5/5 Convection OR Concussion - This is dependant on whether you feel mana efficient enough or not.
3/3 Elemental Devastation - This is pretty much an Enhancement talent hidden in Elemental tree
2/3 Elemental Warding - A bit more survivability
5/5 Reverberation - Quicker Shocks. Nice.
5/5 Elemental Fury - Much stronger crits on all of your spells.
So that's the Shaman leveling build. Obviously you'll want to go respec now to a true raiding or PvP spec. Now, as for Glyphs, here are the ones worth considering:
Feral - Makes your best spell better.
Windfury Weapon - More Windfury is always a good thing
Stormstrike - In other words, your Earth Shock will hit harder
Lightning Bolt - Nice at low levels when you're still using this to pull, and at high levels when you're using Maelstrom Weapon to instant cast it
Shocking - Slightly shorter GCD on shocks. Only useful when you're actually running into the GCD, though.
As for Minor Glyphs, be sure you pick up Water Walking, and probably Water Breathing. Your third slot can be either Ghost Wolf or Water Shield, depending on how often you use them.
I hope this spec helps you level quickly and easily. For anyone looking to level quicker, I recommend checking out my comparison review of the top leveling guides. A good questing guide will cut days from your 1-80 /played time.

Warlock Leveling Guide - Tips For Leveling Your Warlock Fast

Of the many classes in World of Warcraft, a Warlock is one where you have many unique abilities, especially when it comes to spell damage, using pets as tanks and creating soul stones.
There are 3 classes of Warlocks that you can specialize in, Destruction, Affliction and Demonology, and each can give certain advantages. But for leveling as a solo, Affliction Warlock spec is probably the most efficient way to level your character.
Destruction Warlocks do fast damage, Affliction does damage over time and curses, and Demonology have the most powerful demonic pets.
Here are some warlock leveling tips:
1. Choose gear with spell dps spec
When you level your character doing quests, you should choose gear to wear that will help your Warlock's damage or dps. Which attributes to look for? Choose gear with high:
Spell power Hit Rating Intellect
These will help improve spell dps, so you can kill mobs, survive combat easier and level faster.
2. Spend your talent points in the areas that will improve your abilities.
Place your talent points in one of the 3 trees, Destruction, Affliction and Demonology. When leveling as a solo, choose mainly the Affliction tree for best efficiency.
When you place points in the Affliction tree, you can improve your damage over time effectiveness, improved Life Tap and more. If you want to re-spec later if you wish to specialize in another tree, you can certainly do so.
3. Use your spells in an efficient order to do more damage
If you order your range attack spells in an efficient order, and keybind them, you can do much better dps. When ordering your spells, take note of whether they do damage over time or instant damage which you'll need to repeat and the finishing move.
As a finishing move, do Drain Soul when the mob has less than 25% health left so that you get the soul shards as well as additional damage.
It's best to keep up but to avoid clipping your dots.
4. Know how to use your demonic pet in combat.
You have a variety of pets, so you'll need to know how to use them in different combat situations. When soloing a character or when using the pet as an off tank in a group, use the Voidwalker as it can withstand a lot of damage and generate agro.
Then you do dps on the mobs that the Voidwalker is tanking.
Set the Voidwalker to defensive to avoid attracting all the mobs and going out of control.
You can use the Succubus for crowd control and the Imp for range damage.
5. Use glyphs to your advantage.
At the beginning levels (level 15) you will have 1 major and 1 minor glyph, and at the highest levels, 3 major and 3 minor. Choose the glyphs that will affect the spells that you do the most, depending on your specialisation. They are arranged as major and minor and can affect your spells and your pet's abilities.
Some examples of popular glyphs include:
Glyph of Curse of Agony - increases the duration of Curse of Agony Glyph of Siphon Life - increases the healing you get from Siphon Life talent by 25% Glyph of Shadow Bolt - Reducing the mana cost of Shadow Bolt by 10%
So use these tips when leveling your warlock and get the best dps possible.
You can re-spec later to another talent point build, but as a solo, you can place talents in the Affliction tree.
You can use your pet to tank as a solo or as a duo when leveling your warlock up. And experiment with the different setting for your pet so that you know what each one does, and this will be critical when you're doing dungeons or raids in a group. You want full control otherwise your pet can go out of control.
So go ahead and get your Warlock character level up and use all its spells to full effect!

How to Get 26215 Gold in 30 Days

I made just over 27000 gold in 30 days and I am going to give 4 tips on how you can do it as well.
Tip 1: the AH: the auction house can be your most profitable tool, but you need to know how to use it, there are some great add-ons that can help in that department e.g. auctioneer, but the most effective way of making gold on the auction house is predicting what is going to raise in price or lower in price, this is usually done by carefully examining the patch notes and working out what items are going to be in high demand. since you want your items to sell, and you don't want to have to repost them onto the auction house, (which costs you gold) then you should sell them for just under the lowest price that is currently on the auction house
Tip 2: Gathering Professions: if you just want to make gold then the gathering professions are a must. There are three gathering professions in total. Skinning, Mining, Herbalism. Skinning is quite useful while you are leveling up but when you have reached 80 you don't want to be wasting your time killing mobs just to skin them, Skinning also will sell less frequently because it has less crafting professions requiring it. Mining is the most profitable gathering profession because it is required by jewelcrafters, blacksmiths and engineers. herbalism does not net as much as it used to in the burning crusade because of the change in the way that elixirs and flasks work
Tip 3: Get the biggest bags that you can, whether you are farming for gold from mobs or even if you are still leveling investing in bigger bags means that you can go longer with out going back to town or the city. the difference in upgrading from a Netherweave bag to a Frostweave bag is four slots, if you did this for all four of your bags that would be equal to a 16 slot bag, or one Netherweave bag.
Tip 4: If you have decided to kill mobs for your method of gathering gold always loot everything from the corpse e.g. if you are killing the converted heroes in icecrown they have a high chance of dropping "Thick Fur Clothing Scraps" a full 20 stack of these will sell for 10 gold to the vendor, you will also get allot of greens that you can sell at the auction house (See tip 1) or disenchant

Starcraft 2 Dark Templar Rush Guide

The Starcraft 2 Dark Templar rush is one of the most effective ways to win games in online play. It is particularly effective in 2v2 matches that feature a Protoss enemy.
The Dark Templar (also known as a DT) is a permanently cloaked unit (it cannot be seen without detection) with a high-powered melee swing. It can wipe out an entire base if the enemy has no detectors.
Since Observers can be costly to get compared to Scanner Sweep and Overseers, many Protoss players wrongly assume that 1) their ally will get detection and 2) that their partner will be able to use this detection efficiently in the Protoss player's base.
This is rarely true.
As a result, by performing a Starcraft 2 Dark Templar rush you can often catch your opponent off-guard and inflict a mortal wound before he is able to respond by getting detectors. Here is how to do it:
Start off building 9 Probes. When your ninth probe is in production, build a Pylon. As soon as your Pylon is done, keep pumping out Probes and then build a Gateway.
While the Gateway is building, keep building Probes and build some Assimilators (you will need gas). Once you approach 16 supplies, build a hidden Pylon in the back corner of your base.
As soon as the Gateway is done, start the production of a Cybernetics Core. Keep producing Probes and start harvesting vespene gas.
This conservative approach will not only make your opponent think you are going for a 3 Gateway or Robotics Facility build, but it will also leave you prepared to transition into making normal ground units after your initial Starcraft 2 Dark Templar rush.
The second the Cybernetics Core finishes, you should be building a Twilight Council at your hidden Pylon. Hiding this Pylon is crucial as you do not want your enemy to see what you are up to. You should also start researching Warp Gate technology at the Cybernetics Core and build a second Gateway. You should also scout out your opponent here.
Nine times out of 10, when the enemy sees 2 Gateways and lots of harvesters, he is assuming normal play and will not get detectors. While your Probe is on its way to scout, build a hidden pylon just outside of the enemy's base. Double check your opponent to be sure he does not have detectors at this point.
As soon as your Twilight Council is done, you should be building a Dark Shrine in your base. While it is building, make sure you have adequate supplies and vespene gas. You can often spend spare minerals on Zealots or Photon Cannons to defend your base.
As soon as the Dark Shrine is finished, your 2 Gateways should already be Warp Gates. Use the Warp Gates to warp Dark Templar to the Pylon outside the Protoss opponent's base. Send them in and enjoy the Starcraft 2 Dark Templar rush!
If the enemy has 1 Observer (sometimes happens), split your Dark Templar between his expansion and his main base - the Observer cannot be two places at once. If he has a lot of Cannons, simply attack the other enemy's base and begin to produce normal units at your Warp Gates and progress into a normal play game.
When the Starcraft 2 Dark Templar Rush is performed correctly and quickly, it is often too devastating for an opponent to recover from.

How to Enhance Your Game Play With a WoW Paladin Guide

World of Warcraft offers different character classes to choose from each with different strengths and weaknesses. But for players that want a balanced character, the Paladin character class is one of the most popular choices. A paladin has great offensive skills as well as good defensive abilities and several useful spells. In order to build your Paladin properly, you will need to consult a WoW paladin guide because a WoW paladin guide gives you the types of Paladins that you can evolve too through the three talent trees available.
Paladins in WoW have increased defense especially when you equip them with plate armor. They can be fitted with swords, maces, axes both one-handed and two-handed as well as polearms. Unlike Hunters, Warriors, and Rogues, Paladins cannot duel wield weapons nor can they use any ranged weapons. In fact, ranged weapon slots are completely absent and replaced with Librams which are basically special relics exclusively for Paladins that increase the statistics of the Paladin's abilities.
In WoW, Paladins are great companions to have around because of the Aura abilities which can be found in any of the three talent trees. These Auras can buff nearby allies without consuming mana. The great thing about these Auras is that other Paladins nearby may use another Aura ability for added benefits. It is best to focus points on this area if you plan on participating in raids. But even if you go solo, these auras will benefit you as well since you can quickly change from one Aura to the next at will.
Blessings are also skills that should be developed if you join a party or raid as they can give positive buffs to any players that you target. For instance, you can give a tank a blessing that increases his or her attack power or hit points to make him or her more efficient. The blessing that should be casted depends on the class for maximum effectiveness. Hands also give a similar effect.
Seals are just like blessings, but they affect you only which is obviously best if you are soloing or if you serve as the tank of the group. Some seals can benefit the Paladin in unique ways like the Seal of Light which gives a chance to heal the Paladin after a successful strike.
These three main abilities are scattered across the three talent trees - Holy, Protection, and Retribution. Holy skills focus more on healing and some protection abilities. Protection is more focused on defense with some offensive benefits as well. It is a good choice for Paladins carrying one-handed weapons.
If you have a two-handed weapon and want to have a few offensive spells at your disposal, build the Retribution talent tree. The highest ability of this tree also has a healing effect as well so you don't have to worry about healing abilities as you'll have them in any talent tree you focus on.
Use a WoW Paladin guide to understand which skills deserve more attention. Also use the WoW paladin guide to find out what path your Paladin should take depending on your gameplay style.
Are you grinding and grinding, but still can't seem to level up quick enough? Take action now and get yourself a good WoW leveling guide and discover the secrets of leveling up quickly.

How a WoW Warlock Guide Will Help You Become Fierce

Not all characters in World of Warcraft stand out for a good cause and the WoW Warlock happens to be one of them. Recognized as darker versions of the Shamans, Warlocks are fitted with tons of abilities that are primarily made to inflict pain on enemies and using this WoW warlock guide, you can figure out which skills should matter most on your playing style. A WoW warlock guide is also needed to understand the three talent trees and what they specialize.

Since WoW Warlocks are spellcasters, melee Warlocks are uncommon and are therefore only capable of wearing cloth armor and daggers alone. However, you can add some self-defense to your Warlock by looking for weapon masters and spending 10 silver so they can equip themselves with one-handed swords to deal close damage or staves to boost their magic abilities. Be wary of Warlock Sets as well as they can significantly increase the stats of Warlocks.
It isn't a very good idea to boost the strength or agility statistics no matter what race you choose. It is best to focus more on intellect which is an obvious pick for spellcasters and stamina as well because high stamina serves as the Warlock's only defense. It can also be used to convert some health to mana as well for even more spellcasting.
If you want to get your Warlock heavily into farming, building the Affliction talent tree is a great choice as this tree includes a lot of "Damage over Time" spells. It is also good for PvP battles as well when mana conservation and healing is important. Other spells include drain spells that can damage others and heal casters and curses that inflict negative status ailments.
Warlocks can be really easy to pick off alone which is why the Warlock can summon minions and the Demonology talent tree improves the wellbeing of these minions. Note that summoning most minions require soul shards so you will need the Drain Soul ability from the Affliction talent tree or take up the Enchanting profession. This also goes with the Tailoring profession since Warlocks can only wear cloth armor.
When it comes to dealing direct damage to opponents, Destruction talents are the way to go with more talent points going to these skills, you should be able to kill tough enemies with easy. Many of the shadow spells are highly damaging and combined with the draining spells, mana efficiency is still realized making them more efficient spellcasters than Mages if specialized correctly with the aid of a WoW warlock guide.
Skills like Life Tap, Fel Concentration, and the drain spells are an absolute must no matter what Warlock build you are going for. No matter what path you take, expect to have some "Damage over Time" spells with you.
Use this WoW warlock guide to avoid learning any unnecessary skills based on how you will play with your Warlock. A WoW warlock guide can turn your Warlock into a powerful character that is skilled in both PvP and PvE situations.
Are you grinding and grinding, but still can't seem to level up quick enough? Take action now and get yourself a good WoW leveling guide and discover the secrets of leveling up quickly.
